Hey, Wassup! Much love to you for visiting my site. My name is Derrick and I was born and raised in New York City. I began writing my first book while living in my home city but later published it shortly after moving to North Carolina. I've been a writer pretty much my entire life but I didn't begin having the dream of being an author until I was twenty-three years old. At the time, I was writing a lot of poetry, which I noticed was mostly about my life. Consequently, I came up with the creative idea to gather all of my poetry together into an autobiography, which later became my first ever book, "Longing for Eternity." From this single idea, I fell in love with book writing and the thought of me being an inspiring author. My plan is to explore the world of book writing and expand my creativity by writing books in different genres. My goal is to fulfill my God-given mission to contribute to this world by teaching and inspiring people with my writing.
